The Gask is sourced from a single plot of Shiraz, planted in 1960, nestled into the eastern slope of Mt. McKenzie that is painstakingly nurtured by the Knight family. The resulting wine is matured in old French oak barriques for a period of 18 months.

A stunning effort.

Magnificent opaque inky black purple colour with very deep dark purple black hue. Lifted aromas of black plum, liquorice and blackberry with some underlying toasty vanillin oak, dark chocolate and spice. Imposing palate with explosive, super concentrated flavours of ripe dark plum, blackberry and liquorice that fill every corner of the mouth in lavish fashion followed by some confectionary, toasty oak and spice. Voluptuous decadent mouthfeel and velvet smooth tannins. Superb power with exceptionally long and persistent aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry, dark plum, toasty confectionary and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years (2017-2018)
