Tasting note: Aultmore is one of Dewar's key suppliers. The still set up makes a style comparable to Linkwood - weighty on the nose and in the mouth, though arguably spicier. In this example the malt is softened by the port wood which introduces subtle juicy plum flavours followed by tea biscuits and tingling peppers. Well rounded. The finish is short to medium long. A complimentary cask to tame a relatively young whisky. 48.9% Alc./Vol.
Notes from the bottlers... Big, fresh nose of red fruit and oak spice. This whisky rolls over the taste buds. Round and long with a ripper combo of red fruit, creamy malt, bright spirit and cinnamon oak.
