2010 Kaesler Stonehorse Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre

A blend of 63% Shiraz, 24% Grenache and 13% Mourvedre that has been matured in 3 year old French oak barrels for 15 months. Opaque black very dark crimson red colour with dark red purple hue. The nose offers up aromas of liquorice, dark raspberry, a touch of earth and spice. Rich and concentrated the palate possesses mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, black raspberry and dark plum with a very spicy peppery finish. Very fine grained well integrated tannins. Long liquorice, black raspberry and spice aftertaste. A little more spicy and structured than the rounder fleshier 2008.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
