2009 Spinifex Esprit

A blend of Mataro, Grenache, Shiraz, Carignan and Cinsault. Very deep dark purple red colour with dark red hue. The nose displays aromas of dark raspberry, dark plum and spice followed by a faint hint of earth as an end note. Rich and possessing good body weight the palate delivers flavours of ripe raspberry, spice and dark plum followed by a touch of liquorice with the spiciness persisting onto the back palate. Very fine grained, well balanced tannin structure. Long aftertaste of dark raspberry, liquorice and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years (2015-2016).
