One of Moss Wood’s more substantial Cabernets.

The 2009 vintage of Moss Wood Cabernet contains 8% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc with maturation taking place in French oak for 30 months. Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep black crimson red hue. The nose displays excellent intensity with an aromatic profile of ripe blackberry and cassis liqueur to the fore followed by some liquorice and subtle underlying cedar and spice notes. Full bodied, this is a very rich and opulent Margaret River Cabernet and a complete contrast in style to the 2010 Cullen Diana Madeline. Rich, generous, mouthfilling flavours of cassis and blackcurrant swamp the palate followed by some liquorice dark chocolate like characters and more subtle cedar and spice nuances. Velvet smooth tannins. Superb concentration, depth and persistence with very long aftertaste of cassis liqueur, ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and spicy cedar.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 14.5%
