Opaque, crimson dark purple colour with purple crimson hue. The nose displays aromas of black cherry, dark plum and blackpepper followed by some spicy, white pepper end notes. Medium to full bodied this wine possesses a firmer tannic grip than that of the Granit 30. Flavours of black cherry and blackpepper are followed by a touch of liquorice with some spicy earth like characters on the back palate. Dry finish with medium to long aftertaste of blackpepper, black cherry and earthy dried meat.

Other Reviews….
Vincent Paris’s 2009s are spectacular wines that will repay 10-20 years of cellaring (in the case of La Geynale and Granite 60 Vieilles Vignes). These are rich, full-bodied efforts that cut a nice style between the traditional and more modern, barrique-aged Cornas. Purity, texture and an unmistakable gamy, animal Syrah character that comes from this amphitheater-like appellation are all present in these three cuvees of Cornas. The 2009 Cornas Granite 60 Vieilles Vignes adds a few more layers, structure and massive concentration.
