2009 Carn Mor Strictly Limited Dufftown 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Very recently bottled in 2020, this ten year old Dufftowner represents two x Bourbon casks with an outturn of 470 bottles. According to the bottlers, expect aromas and flavours of juicy pineapple, mango and elderflower with a backbone of confectionary candies. Non chill filtered. 47.5% Alc./Vol.

The sixth distillery to be constructed in the region, Dufftown distillery was founded on Speyside in 1896 and still draws its water from the same spring. The distillery was bought by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd in 1933, along with Blair Athol, then subsequently purchased by Guinness PLC in 1985. Now part of the Diageo group, official Macduff bottlings have been sparse, but have included the “Singleton of Dufftown”, as well as a release that was part of Diageo’s Flora and Fauna range. In fact, as little as 3% of Dufftown's output is marketed as single malt, with the vast majority reserved for Arthur Bell's famous blend.
