2008 Chateau de Puligny Montrachet Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrieres

Bright deep straw colour with a golden tinge around the edges and a pale straw hue. Nosing offers up scents of ripe pears interlaced with dried honey, oiliness, roasted almond, toast and spice. Full bodied and richly textured the palate delivers flavours of honeyed pears, toast and almonds over some biscuity nuttiness and spice. The acidity is still holding up but the wine will need drinking sooner rather than later. Broad expansive mouthfeel with an aftertaste of dried honey, ripe pear, almond, toast and spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
