Cadenheads Small Batch Dailuaine-Glenlivet 10 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Pronounced "dal-u-ayn", this is one of those distilleries that's been difficult to find for so long, it's now sought out by malt completionists. Cadenheads offer an opportunity to get acquainted with this obscure Speysider in all-natural form. 774 bottles were drawn from three hogsheads.

Tasting note: Pale gold. Initially prickly, low resolution aromas develop with wine soaked pears and a touch of apple crumble. Lovely purity. A full-bodied, textural and lightly fruity Dailuaine with a juicy mid palate. Cocoa and peppery astringency to finish. Very appealing but better with water. Non chill filtered. 59.9% Alc./Vol.

Notes from Cadenheads... Nose: Honeycomb, roasted peanuts, soft brown sugar and creme caramel. Flavour: Soft grassy notes, caramel, faint allspice. Hints of coconut along with butterscotch and coffee beans. Finish: Toffee meringues, faint white pepper, mashed bananas and kiwi fruits.
