2008 Cadenheads Small Batch Benriach 10 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Our first ever indie Benriach... This youngster was distilled in 2008 and followed with maturation in a pair of Bourbon hogsheads. Notes from the bottlers describe aromas of light citrus and sweet wood spice and an oily palate including flavours of old leather, wood smoke, toffee biscuits and buttered ginger bread. 564 bottles produced. 58.9% Alc./Vol.

Re opening in 1965 after a 65 year absence from the market, Benriach was virtually rebuilt by The Glenlivet Distillers Ltd. in 1985 and enlarged to four stills. It's another distillery highly regarded by blenders and only became available as an official bottling in 1994. After changing hands several times, in 2016 Benriach was bought out by US spirits giant, Brown-Forman.
