2007 The Whisky Agency Caol Ila 8 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Distilled in 2007 and released by the German independent bottler, "The Whisky Agency". Some would say Caol Ila is at its most exciting as a young malt.

Tasting note: Clear and brilliant. Almost water-like . Hints at smoked ham, then slowly yields whiffs of brine, dried seaweed and sea shells over dried herb-like notes of lavender and sweet oregano. An oily, textural, seamlessly integrated malt with bright, salty, smoked capsicum and wet-wool flavours and a creamy menthol / mezcal-like finish. Excellent length. Unapologetically Islay. Deeply satisfying. 53.7% Alc./Vol. 324 bottles.
