2006 Benromach Chateau Cissac Wood Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A limited release of 4200 bottles which has been treated to a finishing period of 20 months in Château Cissac wine casks (Cabernet heavy style from the Haut Medoc, Bordeaux) before being bottled in 2014.

Tasting note: Bright amber. Plum and malt intermix with sweet spices. Aeration accents the latent malt. Early freshness in the mouth builds fruit'n'nut chocolate, pepper and vanilla oak. Finish is softly tannic yet juicy at the same time with the fruit and nut qualities carrying through. Lovely texture. Faint smoke in the fade? 45% Alc./Vol.
