One has to become a bit of a code breaker to decipher the meaning of some wine labels – FDW [7C], RWT, VOR-GS, to name just a few. FDW refers to Fine Dry White, the 7C is a little more idiosyncratic as it is suppose to refer to Bernard Clones 76 and 95. Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Complex nose of hazelnut, yeast lees, almond and biscuit followed by end notes of fig and melon. On the palate the oak tends to be dominant, with flavours of yeast lees, spicy oak, butterscotch, fig and melon, which run through to the aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2010-2011)
