2005 Benriach Batch 15 Single Cask #2682 Peated/Port Cask 12 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Benriach have released Batch 15 of their annual single cask bottlings. This year, new owners Brown Forman have split the release between two markets: Casks 7383, 979, 4437, 2682, 5014, 1855, 2406 and 8737 will be available in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The rest are exclusive to Europe. We have received seven of the whiskies on offer. The Australian allocation includes expressions aged from 10 to 22 years in a range of casks, such as Port pipes, moscatel hogsheads, Sauternes barriques and Marsala barrels. The collection also includes both unpeated and peated expressions. At the time of writing, we've ensured these are the best prices in Australia, so collector's should take advantage of some excellent opening prices. As usual, all whiskies in Batch 15 are individually hand-numbered and bottled non-chill-filtered with natural colour.

Notes from Benriach... Appearance: Walnut ruby. Nose: Bramble and baked apple pie topped with burnt orange and redcurrant on gentian-infused pastry. Palate: Baked orange and redcurrant carried by walnut oil leaving liquoric, dark chocolate and tobacco leaf. 53.9% Alc./Vol. 729 bottles
