2004 Cadenhead's Authentic Collection Ord 13 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

It's been virtually impossible to find independent bottlings from Glen Ord. The prolific Malt Maniacs registered as few as half a dozen, mostly from the 1980s & 1990s. Cadenheads break the drought with a cask strength edition that's won more than a few fans in the UK. At a 2018 launch for the London Tasting Panel (LTP), it was reviewed as one of the most surprising drams of the season. Tasted blind, most felt the rich, sweet tropical fruit notes just kept on giving. Summing it up as "after dinner drinking at its finest", the release was just over 500 bottles. Our stocks are next to nothing.

Older bottlings of Glen Ord are sometimes labelled as 'Glenordie', 'Ordie' or 'Ord', hence the name on this Cadenheads release.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Gooseberries, almond powder, plums and lemon sherbet. Taste: Icing sugar, toffee sauce, meringues, all spice, mustard seeds and quite waxy. Finish: A little salty, lots of peaches, sprinkle of white pepper and lashings of cream. 60.3% Alc./Vol.
