2003 Kooyong Massale Pinot Noir

Very deep crimson mauve colour, with deep crimson mauve hue. Very appealing nose, with notes of spice, black cherry, violets and just a touch of ripe strawberry. The palate lacks the complexity anticipated from the nose. Flavours of dark cherry and ripe plum emerge, over a ripe strawberry background. Fine dry chalky tannins which override the fruit and linger into the aftertaste.
