2002 Acorn's Macduff 15 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Highlands, SCOTLAND
$180. 00
Bottle
$2160.00 Dozen
ABV: 53.9%
A toddler by Speyside standards, having been founded in 1958, purchased by Bacardi and now owned by Dewars, Macduff rarely makes it to market as an official distillery bottling. Most commonly found as a 10 year old with the house style tending towards fruity, sherry sweetness, this one from Japanese Indie bottler 'Acorn' was distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2018 after maturation in a hogshead.

Tasting note: Bright gold. Pretty on the nose with floral soft notes hinting at orange spice cake, milk chocolate and muesli bar, refreshed by traces of peppermint or pine resin. Follows through on the palate with honeyed malt and a touch of orange zest. Light and warming. Nothing profound, but as easy to drink as it is to like. 53.9% Alc./Vol.
