1999 Barossa Valley Estate Ebenezer Shiraz

Very deep dark crimson colour, with crimson hue. The nose displays strong varietal character with considerable complexity. Earth, leather top notes, followed by plum, spice and a touch of liquorice with a blackberry end note. On the palate, the blackberry fruit flavour is to the fore, followed by plum, spice and stewed fruit and an earthy back palate. Very good integration of toasted oak. Fine, firmish dry tannins. Aftertaste of earth and stewed fruit.
