Tasting note: Distilled in November 1998 and bottled March 2015. We like the way a whisper of earthy peat complements the barley here - there's also Granita biscuits and hints of baked citrus followed by sweeter orchard fruits; If it's slightly restrained aromatically, it's redeemed in a superbly succulent, full-bodied fruity-honeyed attack. The balance is spot on. The finish is vibrant, apply, with light vanillas and budding wood spice. A Ben Nevis beauty. This will go fast. 54.2% Non chill filtered. 258 bottles.
Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Gristy, floral with honey notes. Palate: Malted barley with citrus fruit. Finish: long, fruity with drying oak.
