1998 Browns' of Padthaway Cabernet Sauvignon

A very well made, relatively tight knit Cabernet that will develop well over the next few years. Opaque, vibrant, crimson mauve colour, with purple hues. Very appealing nose with aromas of liquorice, cedar, blackcurrant and spice. The palate displays classic Cabernet structure and absolutely no hint of any green characters which plagued this wine last vintage. Excellent flavours of ripe blackcurrant, spice and cedar supported by fine dry tannins. Excellent balance followed by long aftertaste of blackcurrant and cedar. Cellar 4-5 years.
