1997 Cadenheads Small Batch Benrinnes 20 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Cadenheads are asking a very fair asking price for tihs cask strength twenty year old. We've secured a handful. Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2017 after 20 years in three Bourbon barrels. The combined output was 408 bottles. Cadenhead's say to expect aromas of kiwi fruits, icing sugar and brazil nuts, with a slightly earthy palate including dark chocolate and green apples and a spicy finish.

The Benrinnes house style tends towards a heavy, meaty malt. Since 1966, six stills have been run in two pairs of three. From 1974 on, a form of partial triple distillation was employed to help promote a "meaty/sulphury" character. The first official bottling was under Diageo's Flora & Fauna label in 1997. However, due to demand from blenders, Benrinnes has never become a 'mainstream' brand. 54% Alc./Vol.
