Tasting note: From the only distillery on the island that once boasted over fifty. Like most Arrans, this isn't peaty. The aroma is sweet and superbly pure with a buttery, oily quality to the barley - think honey drizzled oats and muesli bar. It's very assured Arran showing fabulous balance. A mineral edge gives this a sense of restraint, while the finish is all about cocoa and mouthwatering barley. Fine and elegant. Great cask selection. 55.4% Alc./Vol. 335 bottles drawn from a sherry hogshead.
