1996 Cadenheads Small Batch Glenrothes 21 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This is quite a 'large' release by Cadenhead's standards: Three bourbon hogsheads combined for an outturn of 990 bottles. As the bulk of Glenrothes output is aged in ex-Sherry casks (European and Spanish), this is also somewhat unusual.

Distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2018, Cadenhead's notes conjure aromas of rosemary, lemongrass and fennel while the palate promises creamy yogurt, water, chestnuts, honey and walnuts as well as applewood smoked cheese over oatcakes. Sounds enticing! 50.9% Alc./Vol.
