1995 Signatory Vintage Glen Elgin 24 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Whisky writer, Jim Murray seems to have a penchant for Glen Elgin, describing it as "Diageo's top dog bottled Speysider". Fruitiness is a trademark of Glen Elgin’s distillate, achieved via a long fermentation and slow distillation in its six stills, keeping sulphur in check. Condensing takes place in worm tubs which is said to contribute further weight and complexity. Only recently available as a single malt and more often the domain of independents, Signatory Vintage are offering this cask strength edition matured in a hogshead with an outturn of 269 bottles.
