Notes from Claxton's... Sure to be extremely popular. A classic distillery with a great reputation and a favourite amongst many... This is an excellent example of a mature Tobermory; on the nose it exhibits all the classic fruit, spice and all things nice. Plenty of earthy spice such as nutmeg and cinnamon. On the palate you can taste the age with an extremely well balanced dram that has had time to fit into it’s own skin. Viscous and waxy with rich dried fruits like raisins and dates shine through from the sherry cask influence coupled with stewed fruits such as peaches and pears from the parent spirit. A gradually fading finish with a slightly tannic note and a sweet wine character. A wonderful warming and relaxed dram and full of complexity. 45.4% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
