1992 Carn Mor "Celebration of the Cask" Auchentoshan 27 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Followers of Scottish malts will know Auchentoshan is the country's only distillery to exclusively triple distil their spirit resulting in a new make that can be as high as 81% ABV. Its strength means that the flavours can easily be overpowered by wood. Hence, the older the whisky is, the more ‘relaxed’ the wood influence tends to be. From a single hogshead of 235 bottles, this expression promises notes of dried apricots, cinnamon sticks, warming spices, a touch of coffee and vanilla ice cream. The timber case marks the last of the 'old packaging', so it's also a piece of history, at least for the company. With the re-brand of 'Morrison & Mackay' as 'Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers', the entire Carn Mor range has been superseded with a new look. 48.4% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. Very limited stocks.
