Based in Glasgow, the historic Port Dundas distillery closed after Diageo moved the majority of its grain whisky production to Cameronbridge. It traditionally contributed to blends, including Bell's, Black & White, Haig, J&B, Johnnie Walker, Vat 69 and White Horse. This is a relatively old example from Cadenheads, distilled in 1988 and bottled at natural strength after nearly three decades in two Bourbon hogsheads. For such an old whisky, the value for money speaks for itself.

Cadenheads notes…. Higher alcohols initially that fade into a biscuity and creamy nose. Honeycomb, brown sugar, golden syrup and ginger nut biscuits. The finish is very mouth warming, more ginger nuts and spicy sticky toffee pudding. 50.9% Alc./Vol.
