1984 Bruichladdich Golder Still 23 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This is another exercise in wood maturation taking place in 'dumpy' squarish bourbon hogsheads. The casks offer greater wood contact and have imparted a deep golden hue to the whisky, thus the name.

4866 bottles produced, we have two only to sell. Distilled 1984 and bottled in 2008 at 51% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... A huge amount of natural caramels leached from the oak does the job of ensuring exceptional softness and eroding the higher notes. Still there is anough eye-rolling honey and spice to keep anyone happy and the rich bourbony character on delivery really is dreamy stuff.
