1976 Benriach Batch 13 Single Cask #5462 Port Hogshead/Peated Tawny Port Finish 39 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Benriach's Batch 13 consists of 12 single cask releases from 16 to 40 years old, demonstrating an eclectic range of expressions for which they've become renowned. This year we have whiskies in the classic Speyside style, peated expressions aas well as wood finishes, such as Tawny Port, Burgundy, PX Sherry, Claret, Madeira and Tokaj. Individually hand-numbered, non chill-filtered and bottled at natural colour, all twelve casks have been hand-selected by Managing Director and Master Distiller Billy Walker, who describes them as “sensational” and adds: “Our much-anticipated batches allow us to identify very special casks in our inventory, and every single cask bottling is an exclusive limited release. I have selected these twelve casks because they are outstanding and full of personality.”

Notes from the distillery: Rich blackcurrant cordial combines with dark orange marmalade and gentle waves of burning heather smoke. A silky, sweet peat smoke infused through dark fruits and mixed peel. Delicate tropical notes appear in the palate, followed by a more intense ashy wood smoke. 53.8% Alc./Vol.
