1974 The Dalmore 32 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Highlands, SCOTLAND
$1799. 00
Bottle
$21588.00 Dozen
ABV: 42%

Another ultra-premium release from Whyte and Mackay's portfolio which seems to be oblivious to the global financial crisis.

Much like The Dalmore's 40 year old expression, the 1974 has the critics divided. Jim Murray awards 83.5 points in his 2009 Whisky Bible, citing the confusion between a big fruity thrust and tired old oak. Chicago's Beverage Tasting Institute (www.tastings.com) have a much different opinion, throwing just about every flavour descriptor known to man into a gripping, englufing tale of a tasting note that culminates with 97 points, and the word Superlative. One way or another, this whisky will appeal to collectors or those looking for a thrill.
