Weber Haus Silver Cachaça (Cachaca) (700ml)

Due to arrive in Australia later in the year, we were recently treated to a preview tasting of the stunning Weber Cachacas. All three expressions are remarkable spirits - certainly the most aromatic, powerful and complex of any Cachaca's we've tasted to date.

Tasting note: Clear. An intriguing medley of aromas meets the nose - at first somewhat reminiscent of white tequila. Sweet scents of pickles, brine, confectionary and sour dough bread. A touch of fruitiness emerges too - similar to unripe pineapple. Wonderful aromatic complexity. A glycerous, extremely soft, pure and silky palate delivery opens with a powerful, off dry mineral, salt, pepper and olive bread flavour wave. Terrific length. Outstanding balance. Spicy, soft, delicate aftertaste of salted capsicum and green olives. 38% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews...Clear. Banana pudding, black pepper, meringue, and straw aromas with a hint of mint leaf follow through on a silky, lively entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with exception depth and smoothness. Finishes with a warming wave of peppery spice, slate, cane stalk, and plantains in cream. A very flavorful and expertly crafted cachaça. International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal
