Warner Edwards Harrington Gin (700ml)

UNITED KINGDOM
$99. 99
Bottle
$1199.88 Dozen
ABV: 44%

A gin that's received glowing praise since its release, including a double gold at the 2014 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Handcrafted by lifelong friends, Tom Warner and Sion Edwards in a barn in Harrington, Northamptonshire, it showcases their passion for the highest quality local agricultural ingredients, sourced from their own farms in England and Wales. Every bottle contains 56% natural spring water, also sourced from their property. The base is a neutral barley spirit, redistilled with 11 botanicals including juniper, coriander and cardamom with the elderflower used grown on the distiller's own farm. Hand-bottled, wax sealed and hand labelled on the property, this is the culmination of three years work. Current stocks represent a very limited trial shipment into Australia.

Other reviews... Appearance: Crystal clear. Aroma: Clean, pungent and floral with lavender, parma violet and potpourri. Menthol piney juniper with liquorice, black pepper and cashew nuts. Taste: Coriander and cardamom battle for dominance with piney juniper and cracked black pepper heat over a liquorice counter attack. Aftertaste: Cardamon and black pepper spice linger with liquorice and hop resin-like juniper. It could be argued this contemporary gin is cardamom rather than juniper-led and won’t be for folk looking for a classic London dry gin. 44% Alc./Vol. 3.5 stars - www.diffordsguide.com
