Uncle Val's Botanical Gin (750ml)

Distilled five times from grain this small-batch gin is inspired by Zio Valerio’s love of gardening and native Tuscan cuisine. The botanicals are not only Uncle Val’s favourite cooking ingredients, but also happen to make a delicious gin. This features juniper, cucumber, lemon, sage and lavender in the mix.

Tasting note: Crystal clear. Generous citrus oils combine with lemon barley sugar, sage and hints of cucumber, leading into a silky, creamy entry followed by a full flavoured, off dry profile echoing the aromas; lovely citrus accent with the juniper in retreat, this dries to finish vibrant, almost tangy with lemonade gelato / lemon barley sugar and the cucumber most salient in the fade. 45% Alc.Vol.

Other reviews... Sweet-tasting and citrusy, this has a light herbal aroma. It shows distinct cucumber and lavender notes on the palate, and it should lend itself to spring and summer cocktails.
