Tomintoul Limited Edition Port Wood Finish 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Defined by super pure and gentle malt flavours, the Tomintoul range has recently made a welcome return to the Australian market. From the 10 year old up, it's hard not to like these very accessible whiskies. Limited editions include a range of finishes including Oloroso Sherry and this Port wood.

Tasting note: Light gold with a very pale salmon pink blush. Typical Tomintoul purity - beautifully defined malt with a fruit'n'nut chocolate accent. Aeration draws out hints of glace cherry and monte carlo biscuit. Likewise the palate, where delectable barley dovetails into spicy oak, finishing with sponge cake / cocoa-like sweetness. Judiciously handled Port input that lets the whisky lead. Non chill filtered. 46% Alc./Vol.
