Timboon Railway Shed Distillery Snake Track Vanilla Vodka (500ml)

This Vodka was produced from unmalted barley in Timboon's 600 litre pot still. Distilled three times, the spirit reaches 74.0% Alc./Vol. before being bottled with local springwater, unfiltered. The finishing touch is the addition of a vanilla bean. Tim Marwood, Distiller, tells us that as the vanilla bean breaks down it will have a greater flavour impact. We tasted a bottle filled only a week earlier.

Tasting Notes: The vanilla bean has imparted the very palest of straw tinges onto otherwise crystal clear spirit. The nose is as clean as a whistle, sweetish, delicately spiced with vanilla in the background. The palate is rich, luscious and impeccably balanced. Marshmallow like flavours emerge, with a delicate hint of spice. Very soft finish, delicate vanilla aftertaste. Pristinely clean spirit. A promising debut. 40.0% Alc./Vol.
