Timboon Railway Shed Distillery Jim Love's Strawberry Schnapps (500ml)

This "Schnapps" is produced by macerating fresh, ripe, local strawberries in their triple distilled spirit, for up to six weeks before blending with pear wine sourced from Shepparton. After conducting several trials, Distiller, Tim Marnood chose pear wine for blending, as he found it best preserved the natural strawberry characteristics without causing the liqueur to become excessively sweet.

Tasting notes Very pale orange pink colour with a slight haze. Delicate ripe strawberry top note, pear end note, slightly tart, but very appealing. Exceptionally well balanced, generously textured palate delivers sweet strawberry flavours counterbalanced by fine acidity. Ripe, but not excessively sweet. The finish is disappointingly short, a blemish on an otherwise delicious liqueur. 21.0% Alc./Vol.
