Tasting note: [Batch JZ010108 tasted undiluted] Clear, slightly oily appearance. Louches into an opaque opalescence with floating oils evident. Leaps out of the glass with penetrating, high pitch anise / fennel / black jelly bean and vapo-rub-like aromatics followed by Fisherman's Friend cough lozenge; further air contact suggests lavender/ thyme / potpourri. Creamy entry preludes a massive, tongue nipping alcoholic rush of juicy anise, black jelly bean and spearmint; finish turns momentarily piney / dried-herb like with jelly bean dominating the aftertaste. A mouth numbing, anise-heavy style. Some may find the ABV overbearing. 65% Alc./Vol.
