The Black Chook Sparkling Cuvee

Produced from primarily Chardonnay this sparkling has a good white creamy mousse which once dissipated reveals a straw coloured base wine. Very fine bead with excellent persistence. The nose displays scents of ripe pear, some baked apple and a touch of spice. The palate is quite fruity but finishes dry with flavours of ripe pear, baked apple, some yeasty characters and spice. Clean crisp finish. Aftertaste of ripe pear, baked apple, some yeast lees and a hint of honeycomb.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
