Totally opaque black dark red colour with a vibrant dark red hue. The nose has a perfumed like quality to it with morello and subtle dried cherry scents intermingling with liquorice, earthy incense like notes, fragrant herbs and spice. Juicy ripe morello cherry, blueberry and liquorice fruits decorate the mid weighted palate underscored by infusions of incense, fresh herbs, lightly scorched earth and spice. Ripe chewy mouthfeel with sturdily built tannins providing good structure. Nicely balanced fresh acidity with a slightly robust finish.

The 2018 Sicilia Nero d'Avola Lagnusa is a well-proportioned expression of this native Sicilian grape that shows equal parts primary intensity with blackberry and cherry contrasted against subtle earthy tones. This is Sicily's Nero d'Avola in all its naked glory. Pair this wine with veal involtini. Drink 2019-2023.

Opaque dark red black tinged core with a bright purple red hue. Elevated dark plum and spicy dark cherry aromas meld into traces of incense, light earth and fresh herbs. Medium bodied the palate features juicy dark plum and ripe cherry flavours over earthy incense like characters and spicy dried herbs. Good fleshy feel. Slightly dryish but fine grained tannins finishing with a lick of bright acidity and a medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
