A pioneer of the Great Southern region of Western Australia, Plantagenet first planted vineyards in 1968 and was the first commercial winery established in the region. Their Three Lions label is the entry level range of wines which regularly over deliver, the Pinot Noir being the standout.

A highly slurpable Pinot that delivers crazy good value.

A short maturation in older French oak and an early bottling ensured preservation of the fruits freshness. Semi translucent dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a light vibrant red hue. Fragrant scents of violets, red cherries, strawberries and rhubarb infused with dried herbs engulf the nostrils with some forest floor and spice notes also evident. Highly moreish the palate is decorated with delicious ripe cherry and strawberry fruits. Some subtle rhubarb, spicy dried herb and forest floor characters also chime in for added complexity. Supplely textured and possessing velvety tannins it finishes fresh, savoury and lengthy. Fantastic bang for your buck here.
