2004 Abbey Rock Wines Cabernet Merlot

Region: Coonawarra Colour: Medium, ripe black cherries. Bouquet: Hint of cinnamon nut meg married with sweet vanillin oak and mellow berry fruits. Palate: Soft and rich with a complex variety of gentle berry fruits, spices and smokey oak flavours that give a mouth filling robust palate sensation. Ageing potential: Excellent enjoyment now but will be rewarding in only 1-2 years of further cellaring. 14.1% ALC/VOL

2004 Blackwell Vineyards Ruperts Run Cabernet
Region: Langhorne Creek
Colour: Intense purple with black hues. Bouquet: Classic cabernet nose of rich ripe berry fruits married with rich dark chocolate and only a hint of sweet vanillin oak. Palate: A distinct mouthfeel of ove ripe mulberries with strains of other berries and overtones of liquorice.  This wine has a huge depth of flavours yet has maintained complexity and a ‘softness’ that is difficult to describe. Ageing potential: Longevity is in this wine, but in 2007 it is very drinkable and will continue to impress for 5-7 years. 14.5% ALC/VOL

2006 Cleggett Wines Legend Series Cabernet
Region: Langhorne Creek.
Colour: Black red. Bouquet: Regional characters of blackberries and mint accompanied by subtle tobacco and spice accents. Palate: Maturation in French oak barriques for 14 months has provided complex mocha notes complemented by finely textured tannins. Ageing potential: A soft generous style to enjoy immediately but will benefit from cellaring for 5-10 years. 14.5% ALC/VOL

2002 Di Giorgio Family Vineyard Cabernet
Region: Limetone Coast
Colour: Medium to deep red. Bouquet: Blueberry and current and lemon-like oak, showing very little development at this stage.  There are hints of violet and cigarbox after a little time in the glass.
Palate: The structure of this wine is round and approachable with lashings of blueberry and plum at the front and a herbal, savoury finish. Ageing potential: 7 years – will develop cedary and cassis bouquet with careful cellaring. 14% ALC/VOL

2006 Bendbrook Wines Yarnspinner Cabernet
Region: Adelaide Hills
Colour: Bright deep red colour. Bouquet: Classis cabernet with ripe berry, spice and hints of pepper. Palate: Exudes intense blackcurrant with some herbaceous earthy undertones. Ageing potential: Enjoy now or wait for the lovelies to blossom over the next 8 years. 13% ALC/VOL

2004 Temple Bruer Wines Cabernet Merlot
Region: Langhorne Creek.
Colour: Deep rich purple. Bouquet:. Regional characters of blackberries and mint accompanied by subtle tobacco and spice accents. Palate: Abundant fruit characters of redcurrants, mulberries, mint and spice with firm, fine tannins. Ageing potential: Wine will develop with cellaring for 5-6 years. 13.1% ALC/VOL
