The judges of a recent international spirits challenge were so impressed with Siwucha Vodka that they reversed their initial Gold Medal decision and awarded Siwucha the trophy – the most prestigious award available. The formula for Siwucha Vodka was elaborated early last century and draws upon a long tradition of vodka production in Poland. Production of Siwucha was only recently restarted, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of "Lubuska Wytwórnia Wodek gatunkowych "Polmos" joint stock in Zielona Góra." The vodka was developed by Elzbieta Goldynka at the Polmos distillery.

Apart from crystal water the basis of the formula is a combination of many ingredients, mainly two types of rectified grain spirits. The components used for the production of the spirit contribute to the unique flavour of Siwucha and the addition of natural flavours extracted from a variety of wild berries particularly enhances its aroma. Siwucha is matured in old oak casks where it is fully harmonized and the colour turns slightly yellowish.

A glass of 100-150 ml is most suitable for serving Siwucha, served slighty chilled (not frozen), drunk straight in 30-50ml serves. Siwucha is marketed with an original, sentimental feel, being labelled in an understated fashion.

Please Note: Current stocks have been reduced, but will no longer include a timber box.40% Alc./Vol.
