Tasting note: [Batch 8 tasted] Burnt sienna. Plush aromas feature moist fruit cake, brandy sauce and cola. Creamy, medium bodied delivery offers juicy dried fruits followed by cardamom, cinnamon, fruit mince pie, clove and late gingery warmth. Outstanding length. Ends with a cascade of sweet spices. Benchmark. 38% Alc./Vol.[Batch 01 tasted] A blend of 20 herbs and spices. Deep copper with some minor sediment evident. Fabulous purity, bursting with fresh raisin cake; think Christmas pudding and brandy cream. Accents cardamom and clove in later passes with hints of ginger. Creamy entry leads into a delicious off-dry gentian, smokey cardamom and clove profile plus late dried fruits. Finishes with a wave of smokey cardamom, clove and muted gingery warmth.
