    Sicily, ITALY
    $94. 99
    Bottle
    $1139.88 Dozen
    ABV: 14%
    Closure: Cork

Santo Spirito is adjacent to Guardiola’s northern boundary and lower in altitude as its slopes descend towards the Alcantara valley. And though adjacent, it couldn’t be more different. The soil of Santo Spirito is deep and rich volcanic ash, its grass a lush emerald green, and the vines vigorous and abundant. Santo Spirito’s wines are luscious, seductive, and fleshy, yet still with exceptional balance and purity.

So floral and fresh with cherries, watermelon, apples, crushed stone and flowers on the nose. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm tannins and fresh, vivid acidity that takes you down the palate.

Dried raspberry and kirsch notes are rich and juicy on the palate of this expressive, medium- to full-bodied red, accented by candied violet and star anise aromatics. It's well-balanced and mouthwatering, with an underpinning of racy minerality driving the chewy finish. Drink now through 2030. 900 cases made.

2018 Tenuta Delle Terre Nere San Lorenzo Etna Rosso
    Sicily, ITALY
    $130. 00
    Bottle
    $1560.00 Dozen
    ABV: 14%
    Closure: Cork

The Etna Rosso San Lorenzo is from 4 hectares of vineyards in the same named district in the town of Randazzo. Vines here are more than 70 years and the altitude is 750 meters above sea level, while the soil is almost pure volcanic sand. This volcanic sand lends a particular richness and fruity profile, and the very soft tannins make the wine appear velvety and voluptuous on the palate.

    Other Reviews....
Very complex aromas of dried berries and strawberries with orange peel, perfume and cherry. It’s full-to medium-bodied with a tight, linear palate and fine tannins, as well as zesty acidity. Give it time to open.

    Sicily, ITALY
    $199. 00
    Bottle
    $2388.00 Dozen
    ABV: 14%
    Closure: Cork

The single vineyard Calderara Sottana is produced from old vines planted on the pure Ellittico lava flow terroir. Within this vineyard are two parcels planted on their own rootstocks which are over 130 years old. This Prephylloxera bottling displays a similar style of complex flavours to the younger vine Calderara Sottana wine, with a greater level of elegance and finesse, often needing a decant or additional cellaring time.

Extremely limited stocks. Limit 1 bottle per customer.

The purity and intensity of fruit is really something here with cherries, perfectly ripe strawberries, flowers and stones and some sandalwood. It’s medium-to full-bodied with very fine tannins and a beautiful, long finish. This ancient-vine wine is glorious.

This medium-bodied red entices with a rich, minerally nose, while the palate is silky in texture, offering a panoply of finely knit flavors, including plumped cherry, spiced orange, baked fig and marjoram. It's bright and mouthwatering, firming on the lingering finish. Drink now through 2036. 542 cases made.

2018 Tenuta Delle Terre Nere Feudo di Mezzo Etna Rosso
    Sicily, ITALY
    $94. 99
    Bottle
    $1139.88 Dozen
    ABV: 14%
    Closure: Cork

Feudo di Mezzo is the largest cru in the appellation, and also the first to be harvested. Of all the crus this shows the silkiest tannins, generous fruit, and is the one ready to open sooner than the others. That is not to say this doesn't age effortlessly for many years.

    Other Reviews....
The purity of fruit and brightness is very impressive with blackberry, cherry and walnut undertones. It’s full, very tight and complete with really fine, polished tannins and a beautiful, long finish.

2018 Tenuta Delle Terre Nere Moganazzi Etna Rosso
    Sicily, ITALY
    $94. 99
    Bottle
    $1139.88 Dozen
    ABV: 14%
    Closure: Cork

Moganazzi is a beautiful vineyard that is entirely formed of steep terraces at roughly 700 metres altitude with 80 year old vines. Wines from here are chiselled and tightly woven, yet with age they gain a soft suppleness and alluring richness. The entire production is roughly 3,000 bottles plus some magnums.

    Other Reviews....
Complex aromas of ripe berries with toffee, cedar and some floral undertones. Hot ash as well. The palate is full-bodied, but tight and linear with a chewy palate and lots of dried-peach and orange-peel undertones to the ripe fruit, but always linear and focused.

2018 Tenuta Delle Terre Nere Guardiola Etna Rosso
    Sicily, ITALY
    $94. 99
    Bottle
    $1139.88 Dozen
    ABV: 14%
    Closure: Cork

Of all the vineyard crus that Tenuta Delle Terre Nere own, Guardiola is the highest in elevation ranging from 800 to almost 1,000 metres in altitude. The altitude drives the acidity in the wine, while the lean soil accentuates the tannins, and ripening is therefore of critical importance. Guardiola is uniquely high-toned, with almost stony aromatics, while the palate often shows an attractive purity and character. Of all crus it is the one requiring more time to release and relax.

Extremely limited stocks. Limit 1 bottle per customer.

    Other Reviews....
Very complex aromas of burnt orange, dried flowers, ash, toffee and dried strawberries. It’s full-bodied and very tight with focused, firm tannins and a long, chewy finish. Needs two or three years to soften.
