Weber Haus Premium Cachaça (Cachaca) (700ml)

Due to arrive in Australia later in the year, we were recently treated to a preview tasting of the stunning Weber Cachacas. All three expressions are remarkable spirits - certainly the most aromatic, powerful and complex of any Cachaca's we've tasted to date.

Tasting note:
Very pale gold / straw colour. The nose at first offers furniture polish like scents, then gherkins, baked citrus and peppery notes. The palate yields off dry, very soft but mouth filling flavours of green capsicum, grilled vegetables and subtle green peppercorn notes. A big spice wave follows delivering outstanding length. Slightly oily, very gently warming spirit. Turns dry with a delicate green bean, dried fig, aniseed aftertaste. 40% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews...
Pale pure golden color. Gentle aromas of toasted anise, banana creme brulee, oily nuts, and leather follow through on a round entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with melted cashew praline, spice bread, and pink peppercorn notes. Finishes with a long, complex and evolving fade of cigar box, licorice gum, spice, minerals, dried bananas and figs. Impressive! International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal
