Hunter Laing's Campbeltown Journey Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Part of a new line of blended malts from Hunter Laing. Only malt whiskies from the Campbeltown Peninsula can be found in this bottling - so that's Springbank and Glen Scotia (to our knowledge, Glengyle are not currently supplying independents). The nose offers attractive hints of pineapple pudding, orange spice cake and beeswax with a coastal freshness that repeats on the palate only with more wood spice. Faint peat, brine and mineral notes linger, the finish leaning towards Springbank more than Glen Scotia. Tastes on the younger side, but captures some genuine Campbeltown character. 46% Alc./Vol.
