Ginraw Gastronomic Gin (700ml)

On a shortlist for most striking packaging is Ginraw, a collaborative effort between four talented men with a passion for all things Barcelona. Rossend Mateu (maître parfumeur), Javier Caballero (mixologist), Sergi Figueras (sommelier) and Xano Saguer (chef) each contributed to the project aimed at creating "the taste of the city".

While juniper berries are primary in the botanical mix, other classic Mediterranean ingredients include lemon peel from Murcia, cedrat peel from Valencia and laurel from Spain, kaffir lime leaves from Thailand, black cardamom from India and coriander seeds from Egypt. Made in batches of 5000 bottles at a time.

Tasting note: Clear. Interesting aromas of crushed nettle, thyme, lavender, woody juniper and black peppercorns over background citrus. An elegant, leaner style with fine-tuned balance between juniper, citrus peel, pepper and herbal notes. Concludes with flavours of coriander seed, juniper, lime peel and shows excellent length. A sophisticated dry gin with appealing earthy undertones. 42.3% Alc./Vol.
