Tasting note: Made from Violette de Bordeaux Figs at a family distillery in Burgundy. Highly unusual, translucent dark mauve colour. Attractive and pure aromas are initially peppery, then redolent of fig paste with hints of raspberry jube and Turkish Delight after brief aeration. Medium bodied, silky, creamy profile is more jam-like than the nose suggests. Finishes svelte textured with an aftertaste of fig / quince paste and Turkish Delight. Try it with Champagne cocktails. 18% alc./Vol.
