The inside label on the new bottlings of Mortlach declare that they are distilled using a partial triple distillation process, using the "Wee Witchy Still" in every run. In Cadenhead's words, "Oily on the palate, a really think whisky.. Bursts of honey, white pepper and gooseberries mingle with faint traces of heavier red fruits. Earthy and creamy."
This release was disitlled in 1994 and bottled at natural strength in 2015 after 20 years in Bourbon hogsheads. 768 bottles produced.
