An excellent extension to the Banrock Station Collection of wines. Deep crimson mauve colour, with mauve mousse, good bead and reasonable persistence. Aroma of spice, tar and blackberry. The palate offers plenty of flavour, with ripe blackberries dominant and just the right amount of ‘palate gas.’ Dry, fine tannins emerge to support the ripe fruit, followed by long aftertaste of dark chocolate, plum and blackberry. Soft acid finish. Cellar 1-2 years.
